In addition to KA/Thor, 88 other teams from 15 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 14 different groups, whereof KA/Thor could be found in Group 13 together with Lugi HF 1, Tyresö Handboll, IF Helsinge Atlas, Fana IL and Bergen HK. KA/Thor continued to A-Play-off after reaching 2:nd place in Group 13. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Bjarg IL 1 with 11-13. In the Final, Hellerup IK 1 won over Skanderborg HB and became the winner of A-Play-off in Girls 16.
