IL Gneist

IL Gneist was one of 87 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Partille Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to IL Gneist, 149 other teams from 15 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 25 different groups, whereof IL Gneist could be found in Group 13 together with Kungsängens SK, Kristianstad HK 2, Herning FH 1, Tiller IL and Shanghai Baoshan Children's Amateur SportsSchool. IL Gneist continued to A-Play-off after reaching 1:st place in Group 13. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Lugi HF 1 with 10-11. In the Final, Bording KFUM won over Samara Region and became the winner of A-Play-off in Girls 15. Gneist comes from Bergen which lies approximately 480 km from Göteborg, where Partille Cup takes place. The area around Bergen does also provide 13 additional clubs participating during Partille Cup 2018 (Among others: Bjarg IL, Sotra SK, Sædalen IL, Söreide IL, Osterøy IL, Bergen HK, Fana IL, Fyllingen IL, Åsane HK and Bönes IL).
