HC Leipzig

HC Leipzig was one of 19 clubs from Germany that had teams playing during Partille Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Girls 13. In addition to HC Leipzig, 74 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 13. They were divided into 12 different groups, whereof HC Leipzig could be found in Group 9 together with IK Sävehof 3, Bålsta IF, Fjellhammer IL, H43 Lund, Mount Kenya HC and Ull/Kisa IL 1. HC Leipzig continued to A-Play-off after reaching 1:st place in Group 9. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Ikast FS with 8-18. In the Final, Ikast FS won over HK Slovan Duslo Sala and became the winner of A-Play-off in Girls 13. Leipzig comes from Am Sportforum which lies approximately 710 km from Göteborg, where Partille Cup takes place. Other than HC Leipzig, the club Leipzig, SC DHfK does also originate from the area around Am Sportforum.
