HC Malmedy

HC Malmedy was one of 6 clubs from Belgium that had teams playing during Partille Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to HC Malmedy, 83 other teams from 14 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 14 different groups, whereof HC Malmedy could be found in Group 6 together with Skånela IF 1, Lugi HF 1, Kolding IF, Fjellhammer IL 2 and Elverum Håndball 2. HC Malmedy continued to B-Play-off after reaching 6:th place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Holmestrand IF 2 with 15-19. In the Final, Skanderborg HB 2 won over Åhus Handboll and became the winner of B-Play-off in Boys 16. Malmedy comes from Malmedy which lies approximately 910 km from Göteborg, where Partille Cup takes place. Other than HC Malmedy, the club KTSV Eupen 1889 does also originate from the area around Malmedy.
