IL Sandviken

IL Sandviken was one of 72 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Partille Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to IL Sandviken, 60 other teams from 9 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 10 different groups, whereof IL Sandviken could be found in Group 5 together with Clube Jovem Almeida Garett 2, Elverum Håndball 2, Skanderborg HB 1, HK Ankaret and Önnereds HK. IL Sandviken continued to B-Play-off after reaching 4:th place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Skødstrup Håndbold with 11-16. In the Final, Kärra HF won over Raelingen/Skjetten Håndball Green and became the winner of B-Play-off in Girls 18. Sandviken comes from Bergen which lies approximately 490 km from Göteborg, where Partille Cup takes place. The area around Bergen does also provide five additional clubs participating during Partille Cup 2023 (Tertnes IL, Åsane HK, IL Gneist, Söreide IL and Flaktveit IK).
