GTV Basel

GTV Basel was one of four clubs from Switzerland that had teams playing during Partille Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to GTV Basel, 63 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 10 different groups, whereof GTV Basel could be found in Group 3 together with Torslanda HK 3, Kärra HF, Herning FH, Elverum Håndball 2, Kristianstad HK and Tyresö Handboll. GTV Basel continued to B-Play-off after reaching 5:th place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Elverum Håndball 1 with 8-21. In the Final, OV Helsingborg won over Elverum Håndball 1 and became the winner of B-Play-off in Girls 18. GTV Basel comes from Basel which lies approximately 1200 km from Göteborg, where Partille Cup takes place. The area around Basel does also provide two additional clubs participating during Partille Cup 2022 (HSG Juniorinnen Nordwest and HSG Nordwest).
