IL Gneist

IL Gneist was one of 103 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Partille Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to IL Gneist, 119 other teams from 15 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof IL Gneist could be found in Group 4 together with Eskilstuna Guif 1, HK Aranäs 1, Südbadischer HV, Son HK and Baekkelaget SK 2. IL Gneist continued to A-Play-off after reaching 2:nd place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Önnereds HK 1 with 16-17. In the Final, AGF Håndbold 1 won over Team Kisakallio and became the winner of A-Play-off in Girls 14. Gneist comes from Bergen which lies approximately 480 km from Göteborg, where Partille Cup takes place. The area around Bergen does also provide 9 additional clubs participating during Partille Cup 2019 (Nordre Fjell IL, Sotra SK, Björnar IL, Knarvik IL, Bjarg IL, Åsane HK, Tertnes IL, Åsane/Flaktveit and Sund SK).
