KA/Thor

KA/Thor was one of 6 clubs from Iceland that had teams playing during Partille Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to KA/Thor, 79 other teams from 8 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 13 different groups, whereof KA/Thor could be found in Group 4 together with Lilleström HK 2, H43 Lund, Herning FH, Hommelvik IL and Kärra HF 1. KA/Thor continued to B-Play-off after reaching 6:th place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Spjelkavik/SIF/Hessa with 12-13. In the Final, Huddinge HK won over Spjelkavik/SIF/Hessa and became the winner of B-Play-off in Girls 16. KA/Thor comes from Akureyri which lies approximately 1800 km from Göteborg, where Partille Cup takes place. Other than KA/Thor, the club KA does also originate from the area around Akureyri.
