THW Kiel

THW Kiel was one of 21 clubs from Germany that had teams playing during Partille Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to THW Kiel, 63 other teams from 14 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 10 different groups, whereof THW Kiel could be found in Group 1 together with Kungälvs HK, Huddinge HK, HIK, Estrela e Vigorosa Sport, Lugi HF 1 and IF Hellton. THW Kiel continued to A-Play-off after reaching 3:rd place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Skanderborg HB with 17-25. In the Final, Lugi HF 1 won over IK Sävehof 1 and became the winner of A-Play-off in Boys 18. THW Kiel also participated in Boys 18 during Partille Cup 2017. They reached the final in B-Play-off, but lost it against Torslanda HK with 16-18 and ended up in second place. THW Kiel comes from Kiel which lies approximately 400 km from Göteborg, where Partille Cup takes place. The area around Kiel does also provide four additional clubs participating during Partille Cup 2018 (Suchsdorfer SV, TSV Kronshagen, SG Handball EIdertal and MTV Dänischenhagen).
