GTV Basel

GTV Basel was one of two clubs from Switzerland that had teams playing during Partille Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Girls 21. In addition to GTV Basel, 13 other teams from 5 different countries played in Girls 21. They were divided into 2 different groups, whereof GTV Basel could be found in Group 1 together with HK Aranäs, Lugi HF, India HHC, Kvibergs HK, SC Corinthians and BK Heid. GTV Basel continued to B-Play-off after reaching 5:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against HSG Mörlen with 11-12. In the Final, OV Helsingborg won over Lugi HF and became the winner of B-Play-off in Girls 21. GTV Basel comes from Basel which lies approximately 1200 km from Göteborg, where Partille Cup takes place. Other than GTV Basel, the club HSG Nordwest does also originate from the area around Basel.
