Sogndal IL

Sogndal IL was one of 92 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Partille Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to Sogndal IL, 36 other teams from 8 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Sogndal IL could be found in Group 2 together with HF Flensburg-Munkbrarup, Alberta Team Handball, BK Heid, Alingsås HK and Lilleström HK-90. Sogndal IL continued to A-Play-off after reaching 3:rd place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Skövde HF with 6-18. In the Final, BK Ydun won over Västeråsirsta HF and became the winner of A-Play-off in Girls 18. Sogndal comes from Almenningen 4 which lies approximately 600 km from Göteborg, where Partille Cup takes place. Other than Sogndal IL, the club Florö SK does also originate from the area around Almenningen 4.
