Helsinki IFK

Helsinki IFK was one of 7 clubs from Finland that had teams playing during Partille Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Helsinki IFK, 51 other teams from 13 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof Helsinki IFK could be found in Group 2 together with HAIG Illkirch, Tyresö Handboll, Redbergslids IK 1, Åsane HK, HVE Villigst-Ergste and IK Sävehof 2. Helsinki IFK continued to B-Play-off after reaching 5:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Union West Wien 2 with 14-21. In the Final, Fjellhammer IL won over BK Ydun and became the winner of B-Play-off in Boys 18. Helsinki IFK comes from Helsingfors which lies approximately 780 km from Göteborg, where Partille Cup takes place. The area around Helsingfors does also provide four additional clubs participating during Partille Cup 2014 (Dicken, IF Helsinge Atlas, Wincester and Grankulla IFK).
