GTV Basel

GTV Basel was one of three clubs from Switzerland that had teams playing during Partille Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to GTV Basel, 50 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof GTV Basel could be found in Group 7 together with Quebec Handball, IF Helsinge Atlas, IF Hallby, Vang HL and Partille IF. GTV Basel continued to B-Play-off after reaching 6:th place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Vorup FB with 5-18. In the Final, Eskilstuna Guif won over Kärra HF and became the winner of B-Play-off in Girls 18. GTV Basel comes from Basel which lies approximately 1200 km from Göteborg, where Partille Cup takes place. Other than GTV Basel, the club TV Birsfelden does also originate from the area around Basel.
